While many cats do fine with a standard brush-out, certain coat types and conditions require a professional haircut or shave-down. Waiting too long between grooms can cause the undercoat to clump, leading to painful "pelting" that pulls on the skin.

Initial Check

We assess your cat's coat condition, severity of matting, and overall tolerance to determine the safest haircut approach.

Bath Decision

Based on their comfort level, we perform either a gentle deep bath or a waterless dry bath to prep the coat without causing panic.

Nails & Ears

We safely trim the sharp tips of the nails (crucial before starting a haircut) and gently clean the ears.

Grooming Prep

We gently brush out any loose hair and isolate areas with severe matting that need to be carefully shaved away.

Precision Haircut

Using quiet clippers, we perform the agreed-upon style (Lion Cut, Teddy Bear, etc.), prioritizing safety over perfect aesthetics if the cat is anxious.

Calm Finishing
